The Story of Specimen Creek Outfitters

Nestled just north of Yellowstone National Park in Gardiner, MT, Specimen Creek Outfitters is a family-owned operation with deep roots in Montana’s wilderness. The Johnson family homesteaded in Jardine in 1932, and today, Ralph Johnson continues the legacy, offering unforgettable horseback rides, wilderness pack trips, and quality hunts.


When you visit, you’ll not only experience breathtaking landscapes but also hear stories spanning over 90 years of Montana history.
